Available for sale is an Longines Nonius Flyback Chronograph Countdown reference 8225. This watch is unpolished and has the original Longines finish on the case with is very eye catching. The dial and hands are stunning, this watch is extremely clean example of this particular reference. The neatest aspect of the watch is the ‘countdown Chronograph hand in which all of the numbers are attached to the chrono hand and move around the dial. It is impossible to photograph this though if you will see it in person you will be impressed! Interestingly the Nonius watch was named after the Portuguese mathematician Nunes.
Case: 43mm Stainless Steel case in very lightly worn condition, the case remains unpolished and is in stunning condition with the original finish from Longines
Dial/Hands: Original black Longines dial is stunning condition, with no distractions to mention. The lume has aged an attractive creamy lume. Many of these vintage dials have aged poorly whereas this piece is absolutely stunning. The hands are bright and in factory new condition.
Caseback: Original Longines stainless steel caseback showing signs of previous wear
Movement: Longines calibre 538 manual winding movement which has been serviced and is currently running 11 seconds per day
Bracelet/Strap: Vintage black leather racing strap with the original stainless steel Longines buckle.
Crystal: Original crystal with no signs of marks on the crystal.
Accessories: The watch comes watch only, it does not come with box or papers.
