1960 Rolex Submariner 5512 Pointed Crown Guards PCG – Tropical Dial

Available for sale is a 1960 Rolex Submariner reference 5512. This is an absolutely stunning piece on the wrist, the dial is a tropical brown while the bezel is turning a bluish hue. The serial number on this watch begins with 5785xx dating this watch to 1960.

THE DETAILS

• Case: 40 mm stainless steel case showing signs of previous wear. There are no major distractions though we decided to keep it unpolished to allow the buyer to decide if they would like to polish it or not.
• Bezel: Original stainless steel bezel original inner black bezel. The inner black bezel is turning a very attractive blue hue, which really makes an interesting look on the wrist.
• Dial/Hands: Attractive Rolex dial turning an attractive even tropical brown shade. Please note the dial is a late 1960s service dial. The hands appear to be Rolex replacement hands and show a nice even patina on the lume
• Caseback: Original Rolex Stainless Steel case back marked II.60 dating this watch to the second quarter of 1960.
• Movement: Rolex automatic movement currently running -6 seconds per day.
• Bracelet/Strap: Stainless Steel riveted 7206 bracelet showing light signs of previous wear. This bracelet is marked 4/1967 and means it was replaced, most likely during a 1967 service. There are no major distractions though we decided to keep it unpolished to allow the buyer to decide if they would like to polish it or not. The bracelet is extremely tight and has never been refinished. The bracelet has little to no stretch. Bracelet will fit an 8-inch wrist
