1966 Glossy Gilt Tudor Submariner 7928 – Box + Papers

Available for sale is a 1966 Tudor Rose Submariner with an incredible Glossy Gilt Dial. This dial is spectacular and completely original. This Tudor comes with box and papers which is rare to see on vintage sport-size Tudors as many were simply worn out of the store and papers/boxes were never kept. The dial, hands, bezel, case are completely original and untouched. In past experience, the glossy gilt Tudor dials without chapter ring are far scarcer than the ones with chapter ring. To my knowledge the none chapter ring glossy gilt dials were only made for a year or so until Tudor switched over to Matte dials. To own an example of this attractive box and papers is impressive. This watch is extremely clean overall with honest signs of wear. The original papers are a booklet with several pages, we could not photograph all of them as we are limited in the number of photos we can upload

Case: 40 mm Stainless Steel case in previously worn condition, nothing distracting to mention just honest wear. The lugs are super thick with both the serial number and reference strong and pronounced.

Bezel: Original stainless steel bezel with a black inner bezel. The black inner bezel has marks from previous wear, though nothing distracting.

Dial/Hands: Original Tudor glossy gilt dial in stunning condition, completely original, never refinished/relumed or touched up. Hands are attractive and original.

Caseback: Nice condition original caseback. The caseback is marked 66 dating this watch to 1966

Serial: 569xxx dating this watch to late 1966

Movement: Tudor Automatic movement.

Crystal: Original acrylic crystal with signs of marks, most marks are on the crystal which obscures the beauty of the dial

Accessories: This watch comes the original box, original warranty stamped from Gibraltar, original anchor. Please note the warranty is a full booklet, not just a single sided paper.
