1979 Rolex 16030 Stainless Steel Datejust – Box Papers – UAE Emerati Eagle logo

Available for sale is a 1979 Rolex Datejust crafted of solid stainless steel Datejust. We purchased this watch a decade ago from the original owner and tucked it away since then. The original owner said they were a dentist for the Royal Family in the 1980s. The serial begins with 6.26 dating it to 1979. This watch comes with the original box and papers. The papers are punched with the serial number of the watch though not named, which does make sense as UAE would commission Rolex watches and give them to officials, diplomats and dignitaries. These examples do not seem to surface with original papers. A true collector’s set!

THE DETAILS

• Case: 36 mm stainless steel case in attractive condition showing honest signs of previous wear with no major distractions
• Bezel: Original stainless steel bezel which shows honest signs of previous wear.
• Dial/Hands: Original Champagne dial with UAE Quraysh Hawk. The dial is completely original and has never been touched up/refinished. The UAE logo was applied by Rolex and is original to the watch. The dial is in attractive condition. Hands are as attractive as they left the factory.
• Bracelet/Strap: Factory original Rolex Jubilee Stainless Steel bracelet showing honest signs of previous wear. The bracelet has light stretch, we have included a photo with the maximum stretch. Bracelet reference is 62510H with 555 endlinks. The clasp is marked C which correctly dates the bracelet to 1978 The strap will fit an 8 inch wrist
• Movement: Rolex Automatic winding movement which has been recently serviced by our watchmaker. The watch is currently running a perfect +/-0 seconds per day. Our watchmaker only serviced the movement, we did not request any other service from them.
• Crystal: Acrylic in attractive condition.
• Accessories: This watch comes with original box, booklets and punched Rolex warranty papersas seen in the photos.
