Available for sale is a vintage 1938 Rolex Men’s Watch Stainless Steel cushion case watch reference 2081. The serial number on the watch is 66119 dating this watch to 1938. The dial and hands on this watch are completely original and absolutely stunning, many of these watches have refinished dials though this one remains all original.

Case: 32 mm stainless steel case in which shows signs of pitting from age, do not forget it is nearly 100 years. We could have polished/refinished the case like most do to have it shiny and perfect though that would loose the charm of this vintage beauty and the stories it may hold. We have left it unpolished and in the same condition, it was found!

Dial/Hands: All original silver dial which is very attractive with the Birks Ellis name. It bares the correct ‘SWISS MADE’ marking at 6 o’clock position on the dial. The dial has aged a beautiful orange patina which really stand out in the sunshine. The blue hands are original and also stand out in the light, making it for an overall very attractive all original watch to enjoy on the wrist!

Caseback: Nice overall condition given its age, no distractions to mention. The caseback is marked with the reference of the watch 2081 as well as the serial number – both are bold and pronounced.

Movement: Manual movement which is currently running – 1 min per day. Service is recommended.

Bracelet/Strap: Aftermarket brown leather band

Crystal: Free from any marks or scuffs
