This exceptional 1952 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Bubble Back, reference 6085, is a beautiful example of early Rolex craftsmanship, featuring a solid 14k yellow gold case with an intricately textured bezel.

What truly sets this watch apart is its spectacular naturally aged dial, which has developed a warm, almost copper-like patina over more than seven decades, telling a unique story of the watch’s history. Both the dial and hands remain original, an increasingly rare and desirable characteristic for a Rolex of this age. Particularly noteworthy is the original red “Officially” lettering, a charming and highly collectible detail that adds another layer of rarity and character to this vintage timepiece.

The iconic Bubble Back design represents an important chapter in Rolex history, marking the brand’s pioneering development of automatic wristwatches. Paired with a handsome tan leather strap, this is a truly special vintage Rolex that combines solid gold luxury, remarkable originality and the irreplaceable charm that only decades of natural aging can create.

The serial begins with 757xxx dating the watch to 1952

The Details:

Bracelet/Strap: Bespoke leather band with quick release pins of easy removal
