The Rolex Submariner 5513 is one of the most iconic vintage sports watches ever produced, but what truly sets this example apart is the meters first dial which was only produced for a few years - making it very scarce. It also features a 'triple 6' caseback where the case was stamped VI instead of IV which has become fairly collected.

The watch is a testament to the enduring quality of Rolex craftsmanship, combining precision engineering with an iconic design that has stood the test of time. A true classic within the Submariner lineage, the 5513 is appreciated not only for its historical significance but also for its wearable proportions and clean, minimalist dial aesthetic.

The serial begins with 150xxxx dating this watch to late 1966. 

THE DETAILS

Case: 40 mm stainless steel case which remains unpolished by us and shows signs of wear including scuffs and dings as naturally occur with any vintage watch.

Bezel: Black inner bezel in attractive condition with a few light marks as expected with any vintage Rolex. 

 Dial/Hands: Rolex matte dial in attractive condition, the markers have turned a nice creamy patina. Original Rolex hands with matching patina.

Caseback: Original stainless steel showing honest signs of previous wear.

 Movement: Original Rolex automatic movement which remains unserviced and is currently running well at +26 seconds per day. We did not service in order to keep it as original as possible. For us, +26 seconds per day is very reasonable for a vintage timepiece - if you are looking for time accurate we suggest buying a brand new submariner! 

 Bracelet/Strap: Rolex Stainless Steel 7206 bracelet with 75 endlinks which remains unpolished by us and shows signs of wear, we decided to keep as we found it as this is a tool watch meant to be worn. The bracelet shows light signs of stretch. The Rolex crown logo on the clasp is sharp. The bracelet will fit an 7.6 inch wrist
