This elegant 1970 IWC Schaffhausen is a beautifully preserved example of classic swiss dress watch design, crafted in solid 18k yellow gold. Its refined 33mm case offers perfectly balanced proportions on the wrist, embodying the understated sophistication that defined the era. The warm tone of the gold case pairs effortlessly with the softly aged eggshell dial, which remains remarkably well preserved. Applied gold hour markers and slender hands create a clean, harmonious aesthetic that is both timeless and quietly luxurious.

Inside, this piece is powered by the IWC calibre 402, a neat and highly regarded movement known for its reliability and thoughtful engineering. The movement reflects IWC’s commitment to precision and quality during this period, offering smooth performance while remaining slim enough to preserve the watch’s elegant profile. It is a wonderful example of practical mechanical craftsmanship housed within a refined dress watch case.

Fitted on a classic leather strap, this 1970 IWC wears with effortless charm, slipping easily under a cuff while still making a confident statement. It is a charming vintage dress watch that captures the essence of restrained luxury, a beautifully proportioned 33mm timepiece that offers both mechanical integrity and enduring style for the discerning collector.

The serial begins with 19xxxxx dating this watch to early 1970.
