The Speedking name was introduced by Rolex in tribute to British land-speed record holder Sir Malcolm Campbell, whose record-breaking achievements and association with Rolex Oyster watches helped inspire the model. Produced as Rolex's compact manual-wind Oyster, the Speedking earned a reputation for its reliability, timeless design, and everyday practicality.

Finding an all original Speedking today has become increasingly difficult, as many surviving examples have replacement dials, hands, or heavily polished cases. Case: 31 mm stainless steel case in attractive condition showing honest signs of previous wear with no major distractions

Bezel: Original stainless steel bezel which shows honest signs of previous wear.

Dial/Hands: Original Silver dial in attractive condition. The dial is completely original and has never been touched up/refinished. Hands show honest signs of aging.

Bracelet/Strap: Factory original Rolex Stainless Steel bracelet showing honest signs of previous wear. The bracelet nearly no stretch stretch. Bracelet reference marked 70/2 dating it to the second quarter of 1970. The watch will fit an 7.4 inch wrist

Movement: Rolex Automatic winding movement which has been serviced by our watchmaker. The watch is currently running a perfect +/-0 seconds per day. Our watchmaker only serviced the movement, we did not request any other service from them.

Crystal: Acrylic showing honest signs of previous wear with a few light marks

Accessories: This watch comes with original box, booklets and punched Rolex warranty papers as seen in the photos.
