This rare and distinctive Breitling chronograph was created specifically for football (soccer) referees. It features a unique 45-minute scale around the outer edge of the dial, perfect for timing each half of a match. Unlike most chronographs, the central stopwatch hand records minutes instead of seconds.

At six o’clock, there’s a small indicator window that shows whether the chronograph is running, an especially practical touch for pausing time during stoppages or injuries.

The C-shaped case remains in superb, near-new condition, even retaining its original case back sticker. Its rotating bezel also presents beautifully, showing virtually no signs of wear. The black dial combines sporty luminous hour markers with a vivid red minute track and crisp white hands, giving it a clean, dynamic look.

Overall, this is one of the finest examples of this model you’re likely to encounter. It comes fitted on a vintage Tropic strap with the original Breitling buckle. Inside, the Calibre 7731 automatic movement has been carefully inspected and regulated by our watchmaker for precise performance.
