Offered here is a 1971 Tudor Submariner Snowflake, reference 7021/0, one of the most iconic and collectible vintage Tudor dive watches. Featuring its original black dial and matching black bezel, this example showcases the highly sought after "moon surface" dial texture, giving the watch exceptional depth and character. The dial, markers, and signature Snowflake hands have all aged beautifully, displaying a rich, matching orange patina that collectors prize. The movement has recently been professionally serviced by our watchmaker and is running as it should.

Introduced in 1969, the Snowflake design was developed at the request of the French Marine Nationale, which required improved underwater legibility for its divers. Tudor responded with bold square hour markers and the now-famous angular Snowflake hands, allowing for a greater application of luminous material and creating one of the most distinctive designs in vintage watchmaking.

THE DETAILS

Case: 40 mm stainless steel case which is in attractive and sharp condition. Lugs are nice and thick.

Bezel: Black inner bezel in attractive condition with a few light marks as expected with any vintage Rolex. 

Dial/Hands: Original black dial in attractive condition, the markers have turned a orange patina. The dial has aged to a neat moon like surface which collectors seek. Original Tudor snowflake hands with matching orange patina.

Caseback: Original stainless steel showing honest signs of previous wear.

Movement: Original automatic movement which has been serviced by our watchmaker and is correctly running +8 per day

Bracelet/Strap: A more modern original Tudor Stainless Steel 9315 bracelet with 380 B endlinks which remains unpolished by us and shows light signs of wear, we decided to keep as we found it as this is a tool watch meant to be worn. The bracelet shows nearly no signs of stretch. The Tudor crown logo on the clasp is sharp. The bracelet will fit an 8.1 inch wrist
