The serial begins with 3.2 dating this watch to 1973. The papers are dated 1974, which is correct as it would take time for dealers to resell, unlike today!

THE DETAILS

Case: 40 mm stainless steel case which remains unpolished by us and shows signs of wear including scuffs and dings as naturally occur with any vintage watch.

Bezel: Black inner bezel in attractive condition with a few light marks as expected with any vintage Rolex. 

Dial/Hands: Rolex matte dial in attractive condition, the markers have turned a nice eggshell patina. Original Rolex hands with matching patina.

Caseback: Original stainless steel showing honest signs of previous wear.

Movement: Original Rolex automatic movement which remains unserviced and is currently running well at +26 seconds per day. We did not service in order to keep it as original as possible. For us, +26 seconds per day is very reasonable for a vintage timepiece - if you are looking for time accurate we suggest buying a brand new submariner! 

Bracelet/Strap: A more modern original Rolex Stainless Steel 9315 bracelet with 280 endlinks which remains unpolished by us and shows signs of wear, we decided to keep as we found it as this is a tool watch meant to be worn. The bracelet shows light signs of stretch. The Rolex crown logo on the clasp is sharp. The bracelet will fit an 7.7 inch wrist

Crystal: Original Acrylic in attractive condition showing honest signs of previous wear as expected from any vintage timepiece

Accessories: This watch with everything seen in the photos. It comes with the box (marked by the original retailer under the watch holder), translation papers (marked by retailer), booklet (marked by retailer), Warranty papers dated 1974 and marked by retailer, original Rolex seal and leather pouch.
