Definitely one of the coolest and most unique Johnson Matthey pieces we have owned.

My guess is that that this piece was meant for industrial use meaning that the buyer would melt it down and use it, like a dentist or other industry in need of gold. The reason I suspect this is that the design is very plain and I have not seen this piece before, which means they are either very limited or were intended for industrial use. Please have a look at this bar, it is absolutely stunning, we have seen 1oz versions of Johnson Matthey Pieces but never like this. Another interesting thing to note is that the back is not flat, it is round, we tried to capture that in one of the phots where the bar is on its edge.
